Pride & Protest: Open Table Chester celebration with OTN Patron Alex Clare-Young

YOU ARE more than welcome to join us on Sunday 17th August for a Communion service and refreshments with the Open Table Chester community.

OTN Patron Alex Clare-Young will lead a reflection on Pride, protest, and how just showing up, just existing, is an act of protest and solidarity.

Revd Dr Alex Clare-Young

Alex Clare-Young is a theologian, writer, campaigner, and Pioneer Minister. Alex was one of the Open Table Network’s founding trustees in 2021 and was Co-Chair of the charity’s trustee board until 2024. As a trans-masculine non-binary person, Alex is passionate about advocating for the inclusion of, and social justice for, trans people. Their books include Transgender. Christian. Human. and Trans Formations: Grounding Theology in Trans and Non-Binary Lives.

6.00pm Doors open & refreshments

6.30pm Communion service followed by refreshments.

Our Open Table Chester community usually meets on the SECOND Sunday of each month at Wesley Church Centre, St. John Street, CH1 1DA. Service at 6.30pm. Facebook page.

It is open to LGBTQIA+ people and allies of any Christian tradition, or none.
