There is an unsettling shift occurring in the world around us. In many places, it is simply becoming harder for LGBTQIA+ folk to feel psychologically and physically safe.

While our local Open Table communities remain vibrant, the national charity that holds them together faces an immediate crisis. Our multi-year infrastructure funding has ended, and unless we replace this missing income, the Open Table Network could be forced to close its doors this September.

If the network closes, our local communities lose their vital safety net. There will be no one to protect them through leadership transitions, no support to train volunteers, and no team to help new churches start their own safe spaces.

We are choosing to see this moment not as a defeat, but as a call to action. Every regular gift, one-off donation, or prayer is a direct vote for a safe, unconditionally welcoming future.

The absolute best way to protect our future is to provide sustainable, predictable income so we can rebuild our foundations.
