Crowdfunder brings promise of joy to LGBTQIA+ people this New Year

Open Table Network Director Kieran Bohan reflects on the work that our 2023 appeal will enable OTN to do in 2024, inspired by the poem The Work Of Christmas by Howard Thurman.

THANKS to 46 generous donors our Advent & Christmas appeal raised more than £2,000!

The final total of pledges via Crowdfunder was £1,230. As we’re a charity, Crowdfunder takes no fees. After deduction of card transaction fees and VAT * OTN received £1189.40. Thanks to those eligible for GiftAid, the charity will also receive an extra £203.50.

A further £647.70 was donated via PayPal and bank transfer, bringing the final total to £2040.60!

This was almost 82% of our £2,500 target. With these gifts, OTN can offer the promise of joy to even more LGBTQIA+ people in 2024.

IN 2023 we visited 24 churches to support Open Table communities and explore new communities. The average cost per church was £84.

Thank you so much for a safe sanctuary where I can be myself!
