'This is my story' - Add your reflection to our new devotional

WOULD YOU be willing to share a little of your story, about a challenge you’ve faced and how you have dealt with it? Or an ongoing challenge, and how you are learning to cope?

We’d love to share an occasional ‘devotional’ - a short reflection (around 300 words) with a related Bible reading and a short prayer, which OTN members can read and be inspired by, know they’re not alone, and learn more about others in the network.

OTN is a wonderfully diverse bunch, and there will be many in the network who will be encouraged by your experience, or learn something new.

Challenges could be on any subject, but might include coping with illness, living with HIV, neurodiversity, ableism, racism, transitioning or family, as well as issues about homophobia, biphobia, transphobia, work, church - you name it!

You don’t need to be much of a writer - we can polish whatever you contribute, with your final approval. You can email us a draft or we can have a chat on the phone or on Zoom.

It would be great if you have a Bible verse or passage in mind that provides some focus, and can suggest a short prayer that will help the reader to bring their response to God.

We plan to publish these monthly on the website and point to them on OTN’s social media and e-newsletter. We’ve also created a podcast where we can share recordings - you could either record your own, or we can help to record it for you.

If you’re interested and want to know more, email OTN trustee Roo: comms@opentable.lgbt. Roo has shared the first one here.
