LIVERPOOL is the home of the Open Table Network, and one-sixth of our communities are on Merseyside, so we make the most of Liverpool’s Pride festival to raise awareness that there are communities which genuinely welcome & affirm LGBTQIA+ people.

Why is Liverpool’s Pride held at this time?

Liverpool’s Pride is held on the nearest weekend to the anniversary of the day Merseyside teenager Michael Causer died, following a brutal homophobic attack, on 2nd August 2008.
