Open Table St Helens celebration with OTN Coordinator Kieran Bohan

  • Open Table Network St Bride's Church, Percy Street Liverpool, England, L8 7LT United Kingdom (map)

IT’S ONE YEAR this month since Open Table St Helens relaunched at St Andrew’s Denton Green. We’d really love you to join us to reflect together on the future of this community.

Kieran the Open Table Network Coordinator will lead reflection on the past year and help us consider where we go from here.

The service will be a simple ‘agape’ meal - Agape comes from the Greek for ‘self-giving love’, the kind of love God shows us in the life of Jesus.

An Agape meal is a simple remembrance of Jesus' meal with his friends, and a meal with friends to deepen our friendship and build community.

The bread and wine we share are not consecrated and there are no special words. All are welcome to share this meal.

So all can share the same food and drink, the bread will be gluten free and the wine non-alcoholic.

We also invite people to bring and share something vegetarian, if you are able, and/or an offering for the Food Bank so others can also be fed from this table.

Doors open for tea, coffee and preparing the table from 4.00pm, agape meal at 4.30pm. PLEASE RSVP to sthelens@opentable.lgbt. THANK YOU!
