Stories of solidarity for International Day Against Homophobia, Transphobia & Biphobia

StoryTelling.png

Following the success of 'Space To Be', an online collaboration between the Open Table Network and our partners Diverse Church, House of Rainbow, OneBodyOneFaith, Quest and Two:23 Network since last May, this month we're hosting a story-telling evening.

Inspired by the theme of this year's International Day Against Homophobia, Transphobia & Biphobia [IDAHOTB]*, 'Together: Resisting, Supporting, Healing', we're inviting people to tell a true story from their lives on the theme of 'Solidarity'. This was one of the key words shared in feedback from Space To Be participants.

Bring a cuppa and get comfortable to hear a selection of true stories from real lives - a mixture of funny, deep, hopeful, moving and lighthearted!

REGISTER FREE: email mystory@opentable.lgbt by Monday 17th May 7pm.

* International Day Against Homophobia, Transphobia & Biphobia has been celebrated annually on 17th May since 2004. The date was chosen because on that day in 1990 the World Health Organization declassified homosexuality as a 'mental disorder'. It is now celebrated in more than 130 countries, including 37 where same-sex acts are illegal. Thousands of initiatives, big and small, are reported throughout the planet. Read more.
