World AIDS Day online vigils

World AIDS Day takes place on 1st December each year.

It’s an opportunity for people worldwide to unite in the fight against HIV, to show support for people living with HIV, and to commemorate those who have died from an AIDS-related illness. Founded in 1988, it was the first ever global health day.

Together with our partners House of Rainbow and OneBodyOneFaith, we invite you to join us for one of our World AIDS Day vigils this Wednesday 1st December.

The 15 minute vigils will be on Zoom at 8am, 1pm, and 6pm GMT - a time gather together online in prayer and reflection as we mark 40 years since the first AIDS diagnosis.

We will commemorate the millions of lives lost to HIV, celebrate those living well and pray for those struggling to get treatment.

The vigils will also include a reflection from Positive Faith, a resource on HIV and the Christian faith, produced by Catholics For AIDS Prevention and Support in association with churches from several traditions.

UPDATE: The video shared during the Zoom vigils is now available on our YouTube channel [14 mins] or you can watch below.
