Rainbow Pride
In royal PURPLE robes, sons and daughters of the King
When we’re true to ourselves, our lives can begin
Removing our masks and then hearts start to sing.
‘Hallelujah, to the King of Kings’
From the depths of the sea to the breadth of the sky
BLUE is our peace when our clipped wings can’t fly
The colour of trust, of faith and revelation
The symbol of truth and the radiance of heaven
GREEN, the colour of Nature, abundance and calm
Balm to the soul, and fields for the farms
Safe anchor in the storm, to keep us from harm
Unconditional love, an abundance of compassion
The leaves of the trees will bring healing to the Nations
YELLOW is the sunshine, enlightenment and hope
It fills our cups with joy, and an energy to cope
At the Table of Remembrance, we have clarity of faith
We can Come as we are, and dare to be embraced
ORANGE brings us warmth, creativity, compassion
It’s fire in our belly and sustains our passion
Determined to succeed, whatever comes our way
It illuminates our path, to complete another day.
RED is our joy, our strength, and our song
It satisfies our longings to be with those we love
It’s romance and adventure; blood, fire and righteous anger
Our shield and protector, when we are in danger.
In the colour wheel of life, there are spokes of assurance
It’s all about Grace, and not our performance
Through blessings and pain, sunshine and rain
God’s truths will remain, His love will sustain
His rainbow will shine through
He’s always with you.
