Grace like glitter: Resources for Pride

Cover image showing glitter in a rainbow of colours

LOOKING for something to make your community’s Pride celebrations sparkle?

This new digital download is just what you need!

OTN Co-Chair Alex Clare-Young and their wife Jo have contributed to, and edited this collection created by members of the Iona Community’s LGBTQ+ Common Concern Network as a reflection of all that they seek to celebrate and affirm.

The 36-page booklet includes prayers, poems, reflections and songs, all for only £3.90 - less than the cost of a drink at a Pride festival!

The meaning behind the glorious title and cover image is explained in the introduction:

You can’t get rid of glitter. It doesn’t matter whether you sprinkle it like fairy dust or send it in a card; whether you glitter-bomb as a protest or decorate your face with it at a festival… We believe that God’s grace is like glitter: it is there whether you perceive it or not, whether you want it to be or not, whether you protest against it or not…

As LGBTQ+ folk, we believe that God’s grace is always there in and around and woven through our lived experiences. We exist, whether folk like it or not, and so we are sprinkled liberally with God’s grace.
